1. Position available: SAICA article trainees
Genesis Chartered Accountants requires trainees accountants who wish to start or continue their SAICA articles.
Job type: SAICA training contract
Contract length: 3 years / 5 years
Salary: Market-related
Location: Genesis Chartered Accountants, Building 1 Bergzicht Office Park, 3 Rooibok Street, Allen’s Nek, Roodepoort
Requirements:
Must be studying towards an accounting degree at a SAICA accredited institution or have completed the relevant degree.
Must be looking to complete articles with Auditing as the preferred skill.
Must have your own vehicle.
Essential responsibilities and duties:
The position entails the duties and competencies as set out in the SAICA Training Regulations (auditing, accounting, taxation and other professional skills).
Candidates must have the intention of completing their articles over the 3/5 year contract towards becoming a Chartered Accountant (SA)
Skills or competencies:
Must be computer literate.
Must be able to communicate, read and write in English.
Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
Must work proactively with other team members.
Ability to work under pressure.
Attention to detail.
Deadline driven.

Background in company secretarial work will be an advantage.
Accounting software skills will be an advantage.
